Situated in beautiful Provo Canyon, at the base of 12,000-foot Mt. Timpanogos, Sundance is a year-round resort that emphasizes its arts programs as much as its skiing and outdoor activities. That should come as no surprise -- it's owned by actor/director Robert Redford, who bought the property in 1969 and named it after his character in the classic film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. The goal for Sundance was to create a place where the outdoors and the arts could come together in a truly unique mountain community, and it seems to be a success.
